“Dolomites Wine Imports offers unique wines from prestigious family-owned wineries.”
We are Simona and Terry, owners of Dolomites Wine Imports. Our affection for Italy and wine started long ago, so let’s start with a little background of how we got here.
Born and raised in Pordenone, Italy, Simona was exposed to the passion and art of making wine from a very young age. Her bedroom window overlooked the Grave del Friuli wine country which is home to over 16,000 acres of vineyards. Simona spent her childhood watching the farmers nurture and care for their grape fields. Never one to stand back and watch, Simona would wait for harvest time to help the farmers harvest their grape crops. Eventually, life and a career in technology moved Simona away from Italy, but she always knew she would reach back to those Italian roots somehow.
A United States Air Force and Department of Justice veteran, Terry, has dedicated 30 years of service to the USA. Ten of those years were spent in Europe where he quickly developed a passion for the culture and the people. After 6 years stationed at Aviano Italy Air Base Terry had fully assimilated to the Italian way of life. It is there in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Terry and Simona met and together further developed their love for great food and great Italian wine.
Ultimately it is our love for Italy that has brought us to where we are today. Decades after meeting in the Italian wine country, in the foothills of the Dolomites mountains, we are finally bringing those mountains home to you.
From Moscato to Cabernet, we’re bringing you the best vino from our favorite regions of Italy and we hope it brings you as much joy as it does us after all of these years! Through Dolomites Wine Imports we are bringing our entrepreneurial spirits and love of Italy together to bring you authentic and undiscovered Italian wines. Each wine is carefully selected, and hand produced by Italy’s most passioned winemakers, through natural vineyard treatments and minimalist winery practices. We know you’ll be able to taste the difference.
